Spiritual Warfare: Seeing the Unseen

Spiritual Warfare: Seeing the Unseen

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies.”

The world around us often appears to be in chaos—wars, violence, political instability, and a growing sense of fear and unrest. It is easy to feel overwhelmed when we look at the physical realm, but as believers in Yah, we must remember that our hope lies beyond what we see with our eyes. One day, Yah may grant us the vision that He gave to Elisha’s servant—to see the unseen forces that are working for our good.

The Unseen Forces: Elisha’s Revelation

In 2 Kings 6:16–17, Elisha reassured his servant, saying:

“Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

When Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened, the young man saw the mountains filled with horses and chariots of fire surrounding them. This divine vision revealed that Yah’s forces were infinitely greater than the enemy’s, even though they were invisible to the human eye.

This reality—that Yah’s forces are far greater than those of the enemy—remains true today. However, fear can still grip us when we focus only on the physical world around us. If we could consistently see through spiritual eyes, our fears would diminish, and we would have peace knowing that Yah is always with us, guiding and protecting us.

Personal Encounters with Spiritual Warfare

Throughout my life, I have had personal encounters with spiritual warfare that have reinforced the truth of the unseen spiritual realm and the power of Yah’s authority. Two experiences stand out to me:

  • The first experience occurred when I anointed my old home, asking Abba Yah to place His protective seal over it. The peace that followed confirmed His presence in my life and home, as I felt a deep sense of security and spiritual protection.

  • The second experience happened in the early morning when I heard heavy breathing coming from a dark, unoccupied kitchen. The unsettling sound made it clear to me that something was not right. I immediately declared, “Yahuah rebuke you!” and commanded the presence to leave. In both instances, the forces fled faster than I could have imagined.

These experiences have solidified my faith and shown me that we are not powerless in spiritual battles. Yah equips us with His authority, His Word, and His Spirit to stand firm against the enemy. We are not alone in the fight. With Yah on our side, victory is assured.

Standing Firm in Spiritual Warfare: The Armor of God

As we engage in spiritual warfare, it is crucial to recognize that we are equipped for battle through Yah’s provision. The Apostle Paul, in Ephesians 6:13-17, reminds us to put on the full armor of God, which is vital for standing firm in the face of the enemy’s attacks. The armor includes:

  1. The Belt of Truth: Truth is the foundation of our faith. We must hold fast to the truth of God’s Word to withstand lies and deception.

  2. The Breastplate of Righteousness: Righteousness protects our hearts from the enemy’s accusations and temptations.

  3. The Shoes of Peace: With the peace of Yah, we are prepared to stand firm, even in the midst of conflict.

  4. The Shield of Faith: Faith in Yah’s promises shields us from the fiery darts of doubt and fear that the enemy sends our way.

  5. The Helmet of Salvation: Salvation gives us the confidence and assurance of eternal victory, guarding our minds against the enemy’s attacks.

  6. The Sword of the Spirit: The Word of Yah is our weapon against the enemy’s lies and temptations. It is the only offensive weapon we have in the spiritual battle.

A Prayer for Spiritual Warfare

Heavenly Father,

As we engage in spiritual warfare, we humbly seek Your protection and guidance. Your Word reminds us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, we ask You to equip us with Your armor and empower us by Your Spirit.

We choose to put on the full armor of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. Strengthen us, Yah, to stand firm against every attack, resisting the enemy’s schemes and overcoming temptation.

Grant us discernment to recognize the enemy’s deception and to uncover any strongholds in our lives where we may have unknowingly given him a foothold. Help us to take every thought captive to obey Messiah, casting down every argument that opposes Your truth.

We pray for Your protection over our minds, hearts, and bodies. Surround us with Your angels and send them to fight on our behalf. Thank You, Abba, that the victory is already won through the blood of Yahusha. We stand in His name and by His authority, trusting in His power.

Finally, we lift up those who are in spiritual bondage or darkness. Break every chain that holds them captive, and release them into Your marvelous light. May they come to know the truth, experience Your love, and be set free by Your grace.

In Yeshua’s name, Amen.

Rejoicing in Yah’s Perfect Plan

Through spiritual warfare, we are reminded of Yah’s faithfulness and power. Though the battles are real, so is the victory. Yah has already won the ultimate victory over the enemy through the blood of Yahusha, and we are more than conquerors through Him.

Let us walk boldly in the knowledge that those who are with us are far greater than those against us. In every battle, we can trust in His presence, His protection, and His ultimate triumph.
