Does YHWH Exist Outside of Time? A Conversation on the Eternal Nature of God

I remember the first time I heard someone say, “God is outside of time.” It seemed like a simple enough statement—until I started discussing it with others.

“That’s impossible,” one person argued. “If God moves, speaks, and responds to prayer, then He must be in time. How can He do anything if there’s no time?”

At first, I hesitated. Movement and action are things we  mortals experience within time. But is YHWH bound by the same limitations we are? Or does He exist in a completely different reality—one where time itself is something He created?

The deeper I dug into Scripture, the clearer it became: YHWH is not a being who merely moves through time. He is the One who holds all of time in His hands.

Let’s explore what the Bible actually says about time, God’s nature, and whether movement in heaven really requires time.

The Beginning of Time: Where Did It Start?

Imagine standing outside the frame of a painting, watching as the artist brings the canvas to life. Now, imagine time as that canvas.

The very first verse of the Bible gives us the moment time began:

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

That phrase—“in the beginning”—marks the start of time itself. If there is a beginning, then something must have existed before it. That “something” is YHWH Himself.

This is echoed in John’s Gospel:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (John 1:1-3)

If all things were made by Him, then time itself was made by Him too. This means He is not bound by it—He exists outside of it, just like the artist exists outside of the painting.

If time is part of creation, then YHWH is not a “time traveler” moving through history—He is the One who formed history itself.

Did Time Exist Before the Sun, Moon, and Stars?

Some ask, "But doesn't time come from the sun and moon? How could time exist before they were created?"

At first, this seems like a good question. After all, we use the sun to mark days, the moon to track months, and the stars to measure seasons. If those weren’t created until Day 4, then what were the first three days measured by?

The answer is simple but profound: Time existed before the celestial bodies because time is not dependent on them—it is something YHWH created separately.

Genesis 1 makes this clear:

1. Day 1 – YHWH created light and separated day from night (Genesis 1:3-5).
2. Day 2 – He formed the heavens (Genesis 1:6-8).
3. Day 3 – He made dry land appear and created vegetation (Genesis 1:9-13).
4. Day 4 – THEN He created the sun, moon, and stars to mark time (Genesis 1:14-19).

If time only began when the sun was created, then the first three days could not have existed—yet Scripture tells us they did!

When YHWH placed the sun, moon, and stars in the heavens, He explained why He created them:

"Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years." (Genesis 1:14)

This tells us:

• The sun and moon do not create time—they simply help measure it.
• Time already existed before they were made.
• They were placed in the heavens for human understanding of time.

It’s like putting numbers on a clock. The clock doesn’t create time—it only gives us a way to track its passage.

Can YHWH See the Future? Or Is It All Present to Him?

We often think of prophecy as God looking “ahead” into time, as if He’s peeking around the corner at what’s coming next. But that’s not what Scripture actually says.

YHWH declares something incredible about Himself:

“I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done.” (Isaiah 46:9-10)

He doesn’t just predict the future—He declares it. He sees the end from the beginning, as if all of time were laid out before Him in a single moment.

Peter explains this concept:

“With the Master one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Peter 3:8)

For YHWH, time is not something He waits through. It is something He already holds in full view.

But What About Movement in Heaven? Doesn’t That Mean There’s Time?

Some argue, “If angels move, if God speaks, if prayers are heard—doesn’t that mean time exists in heaven?”

It seems logical. But what if movement in heaven isn’t like movement on earth?

Scripture gives us clues:

1. Ezekiel’s Vision of Heaven (Ezekiel 1:4-28)

   • Ezekiel sees living creatures with wheels that move in ways we don’t understand—without turning, without limitations.

2. John’s Revelation (Revelation 4-5)

   • John is taken “in the Spirit” and sees past, present, and future unfolding before him at once.

3. Time Will End (Revelation 10:6)

   • An angel swears by YHWH: “There should be time no longer.”

If time will one day cease, then it is not eternal—it is part of creation.

What does this mean? It means movement and action can exist without requiring time as we know it.

Think of a dream. In dreams, events don’t follow normal time rules—sometimes they speed up, slow down, or even seem to happen all at once.

Heaven is far greater than a dream—it is an eternal realm, where time is not a requirement for existence.

How Can YHWH Interact With Time If He’s Outside of It?

This is where it gets beautiful.

Imagine an author writing a book. The characters live inside the timeline of the story, but the author exists outside of it.

The author can choose to step into the story at any moment—changing things, influencing events, speaking directly to the characters.

This is exactly what YHWH does.

• He spoke to Moses from the burning bush (Exodus 3:14).
• He entered history as Yeshua (John 1:14).
• He sends His Spirit to guide and speak to us (John 16:13).

He is not “stuck” in time like we are. He enters time when He chooses, while still existing beyond it.

The Name That Proves It All: “I AM”

When Moses asked for God’s name, YHWH gave an answer that shattered the idea of Him being confined to past or future:

“I AM WHO I AM.” (Exodus 3:14)

Not “I was” or “I will be”—but “I AM.”

Yeshua echoed this when He said:

“Before Abraham was, I AM.” (John 8:58)

This name proves that YHWH is not waiting in time like we are. He simply IS.

Final Thoughts: Why This Matters

• YHWH created time (Genesis 1:1).
• He exists outside of time (Isaiah 46:10).
• He sees all things at once (Hebrews 4:13).
• Time will one day cease (Revelation 10:6).
• His movements do not require time (Ezekiel 1, Revelation 4-5).
• He steps into time when He chooses (John 1:14).

YHWH is the eternal One, outside of time yet fully present within it. He is not waiting for the future—He already holds it in His hands.

And that should bring us great comfort. Because if He sees the end from the beginning, then we can trust Him completely—no matter what comes next.

The sign was not obvious at the time as Herrod had to ask priests. Scripture states with 2 or more witnesses a matter is established. (Deuteronomy 19:15) there were several signs that led up to the messiahs birth and even followed the birth.

Mat 2:7  Then Herodes, having called the Magi secretly, learned exactly from them what time the star appeared. 

Mat 2:8  And having sent them to Běyth Leḥem, he said, “Go and search diligently for the Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, so that I too might go and do reverence to Him.”

The Flight to Egypt

Mat 2:13  And when they had left, see, a messenger of יהוהappeared to Yosěph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the Child and His mother, and flee to Mitsrayim, and remain there until I bring you word, for Herodes is about to seek the Child to destroy Him.”

Mat 2:14  And rising up, he took the Child and His mother by night and departed for Mitsrayim, 

Mat 2:15  and remained there until the death of Herodes, to fill what was spoken by יהוה through the prophet, saying, “Out of Mitsrayim I have called My Son.” ^{Exo 4:22-23, Hos 11:1, Rev 21:7.}

Herod Kills the Children

Mat 2:16  Then Herodes, having seen that he was fooled by the Magi, was greatly enraged, and he sent forth and slew all the male children in Běyth Leḥem and in all its borders, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had exactly learnt from the Magi.

•  Jupiter/Regulus meet for a second time on 2/19/-1 and a third time on 5/5/-1
  

• 3X in 7 months the King Planet (Jupiter) and the King Star (Regulus) meet up always in the constellation ARI/Leo which represents the tribe of Yahudah.

• Venus catch up with Jupiter on 6/17/-1…this is the STAR OF BETHLEHEM that the Wise Men Saw

Psa 19:9  The fear of יהוה is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of יהוה are true, They are righteous altogether,

Psa 19:10  More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.

Psa 19:11  Also, Your servant is warned by them, In guarding them there is great reward.

Psa 19:12  Who discerns mistakes? Declare me innocent from those that are secret,

Psa 19:13  Also keep Your servant back from presumptuous ones, Do not let them rule over me. Then shall I be perfect, and innocent of great transgression.

Psa 19:14  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be pleasing before You, O יהוה, my rock and my redeemer.

Revelation 12 

Rev 12:1   And a great sign was seen in the heaven: a woman clad with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. (9/11/-2) & (9/23/2017)

Rev 12:2  And being pregnant, she cried out in labour and in pain to give birth.

Rev 12:3  And another sign was seen in the heaven: and see, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads. 

Rev 12:4  And his tail draws a third of the stars of the heaven and throws them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born.

·      3 major constellations Draco/Hydra/Serpens winding around 10 constellations (10 horns)

·      The serpent sweeps 1/3 of the sky in 8 hrs

·      Corona Borealis…the crown of 7 stars is above the serpent

Rev 12:5  And she bore a male child who was to shepherd all nations with a rod of iron.  And her child was caught away to Elohim and to His throne.

Rev 12:6  And the woman (Israel) fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. 

Satan Thrown Down to Earth

Rev 12:7  And there came to be fighting in the heaven: Miḵa’ěl and his messengers fought against the dragon. And the dragon and his messengers fought,

·      Michael (Mercury) and his angels fight with the dragon, Mercury moves across sky towards Saturn (Satan) as it approaches Saturn (Satan) it begins to slow down and goes into retrograde motion

·      Saturn moves away and goes into Constellation Sagittarius (Anti-messiah)

·      Mercury (Michael) comes back for a second strike on 1/13/2018 at 20:53 hours then moves away leaving Saturn behind in the Anti-messiah constellation Sagittarius

Rev 12:8  but they were not strong enough, nor was a place found for them in the heaven any longer. 

Rev 12:9  And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads all the world astray. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him. 

Rev 12:10  And I heard a loud voice saying in the heaven, “Now have come the deliverance and the power and the reign of our Elohim and the authority of His Messiah, for the accuser of our brothers, who accused them before our Elohim day and night, has been thrown down.

Rev 12:11  “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Rev 12:12  “Because of this rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has little time.”

Rev 12:13  And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. (Israel)

Rev 12:14  And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. (Greater Exodus)

Rev 12:15  And out of his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river after the woman, to cause her to be swept away by the river. 

Rev 12:16  And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 

Rev 12:17  And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of יהושעMessiah.

·      Those currently not keeping torah but are testifying to Yahusha, will realize they were left behind because they believed the torah no longer applied (blasphemy) and will repent.

It is my belief that this king born 9/11/2017 is a counterfeit and evidenced by looking at 12/21/2015 when Saturn (satan) enters Ophiuchus exits Ophiuchus on 11/20/17  and enters Sagittarius and exits Sagittarius of 12/21/2020. Total 5 years and when Saturn exits Sagittarius on 12/21/2020 both Jupiter and Saturn  merge the same Jupiter that was born 9/11/2017 out of the virgin. 

Seems like Satan  is trying to make himself King through giving his power to the beast aka spirit of Anti Messiah

The Coming Saturn-Jupiter Alignment

Side note: 10 days before the 2017 sign there was a solar eclipse across the USA and 7 years later there will be another one going the other way in 2024. They will intersect in CAIRO, IL this day in 2024 will be day 10 of the counting of the omer. 

Three and a half years after the 2017 sign which happened on Yom Terrah will be Passover 2021. Initially I thought maybe this is the start of the great tribulation but now I believe its the birth pains.   

Matthew 24:8 “And all these are the beginning of the birth pains. 

But I am not the only one to look at the heavens and see Judgement coming and 2 witnesses establish a matter.

Why do I think it is the beginning of the birth pains? Well that is because what is says just prior to Matthew 24:8…

Matthew 24:5-7 

5 “For many shall come in My Name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and they shall lead many astray.

6 “And you shall begin to hear of fightings and reports of fightings. See that you are not troubled, for these have to take place, but the end is not yet.

7 “For nation (ethnos) shall rise against nation (ethnos), and reign against reign. And there shall be scarcities of food, and deadly diseases, and earthquakes in places.

At the time of this UPDATE it is March 2022 and since March 2020 the whole world has gone topsy-turvy. In the last two years alone 

• The WHOLE world was put under an illegal house arrest over a really BAD COLD
• We have had is the USA unrest where cities were taken over by thugs “CHOP” (Seattle) and the law enforcement did nothing. 
• Riots for months on end under the premiss of “social justice” AKA George Floyd who’s autopsy revealed that the knee on the neck had NOTHING to do with him dying. That even if that event with the police officer didn’t happen he (GF) would have died anyway because of the drug he was on fentanyl, and that not being able to breathe is a side affect of fentanyl drug overdose. 
• Many countries illegal house arrest went on for a lot longer than other countries and the abuse that those people suffered at the hand of the people that are supposed to “serve and protect” is borderline “brown shirt” methods, a violent paramilitary group attached to the Nazi Party in pre-World War Two Germany.
• Russia invaded Ukraine, there is some debate as to why at that moment. First you feel bad for Ukraine because big bad Bear Russia is attacking them, then it comes out that the USA has had several bio labs in Ukraine and then you think maybe Russia is the good guy after all…but wait…a lot of the grains, fertilizers, oil, natural gas and fuel products come from Russia and Ukraine…makes one ponder if the NWO is trying to create famines worldwide. 
• Underwater Volcano near Tonga in South Pacific go off creating massive damage to nearby lands and then the Tonga government makes it worse by illegally house arresting the tonga people multiple times since the eruption. 
• Then there is the covid jab. The number of deaths and injuries caused by that pharmakeia (drug sorcery) is in the millions upon millions, and the NWO got away with it because they peddled FEAR to the masses and isolated people, and if the masses had no relationship with the HOLY ONE then the masses voluntarily took a kill shot. I expect in the next 5 years those that took the covid jab will be dead from all the side affects of the jab. Sooner if they also took the boosters. 
• America went from a country that was exporting oil and gas to importing oil and Gas and majority of the pipelines shutdown…no not because there isn't oil there but because NWO cronies want to destroy the country.  Gas prices have sky rocketed to in some place $7.00 / gallon, which will be just another nail in the coffin that leads to famine and inflation.  

This is just a small list of what the world has experienced since 2020, and if this truly is just the beginning of birth pains then…just wait 2027 (5 years away at the time of this update) is really going to be…interesting.

Plus side in all this is in approximately 2031 it will be 2000 years since the resurrection and THE KING IS COMING AND SOON …looking so forward to it!  May we not be found wanting.
