What is so Important about the names?

Names used to mean something. Great thought used to go into what one would name their child to the point that a child would not be named until he/she was 8 days old. In some cases the mother would give the child a name first and then the father of the child could then keep the name or change it as he had final say.

A perfect example of this is in Genesis 35:16-18
16 Then they traveled on from Beit-El, and while there was still some distance to go before arriving in Efrat, Rachel went into labor, and she had great difficulty with it. 17 While she was undergoing this hard labor, the midwife said to her, “Don’t worry, this is also a son for you.” 18 But she died in childbirth. As she was dying she named her son Ben-Oni [son of my grief], but his father called him Binyamin [son of the right hand, son of the south].

Personally my first name I have never liked. I was named after a bridesmaid of my mother who she never saw after her wedding and I was the last child. It still boggles my mind as to why  anyone would do that.

In scripture names mean a whole lot in fact the next time to read the scriptures and get to the begat parts look up the meaning of the names you will be amazed at what it reveals.

If at some point you want to do this yourself here is a good resource

And the Added Bonus
See names should be important and using the correct name for your Messiah should matter to you too. Ever wonder why Yahusha's name was twisted and tweaked and maimed and yet satans name stayed the same in every language?
I thank Abba Yahuah that he and his son Yahusha hear the heart of the person addressing them instead of the pronunciation, and it's a good thing I am not Yahuah because I have even got upset at the coffee shop when they get my name wrong especially when I spelled it for them.
Here are the best video teachings regarding Yahuah's name they take names we KNOW how they are pronounced to find HOW Yah's name should be said.
